The 2018 U.S. Open takes place August 27 – September 9, and we couldn’t be more excited. This year, we’re celebrating with a showcase of top female tennis players and their engagement rings. Serena Williams, Nicole Gibbs, and Caroline Wozniacki are just a few tennis stars to show off amazing engagement rings over the past year or so. Not only are these amazing athletes prime examples of female power and perseverance, but they each have a beautiful love story to share. Read about them–and their serious sparklers too–below!

Serena Williams

Tennis fans and the general public are oohing and ahhing over Serena Williams’ engagement ring, which is an absolute knockout. Among the most exciting celebrity engagement rings to make their way into the spotlight in recent months, Serena’s ring features a show-stopping emerald-cut diamond. After marrying Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian in New Orleans last November, Serena added an eternity band with a teardrop concave and a trio of pear-cut diamonds to her engagement ring, creating a unique halo effect with a beautiful, playful appearance that complements her outgoing personality perfectly. As jewelry goes, Serena Williams’ engagement ring is among the most impressive pieces to debut in recent months. At approximately 12 carats, the emerald-cut beauty is worth an estimated two million dollars.

Timea Bacsinszky

After the news that she’d need surgery to deal with crippling pain in her right hand following 2017’s Wimbledon, Timea Bacsinszky was more than ready for some good news. It’s no surprise, then, that fans were thrilled by the Swiss tennis star’s more recent excitement. After dating for five years, Timea Bacsinszky and Andreas Blattner announced their engagement. The engagement ring takes advantage of the current trend in delicate jewelry. Timea’s Instagram announcement shows off a light, lovely solitaire that won’t interfere with her game. It’s a perfect fit for her active lifestyle!

Caroline Wozniacki

Caroline Wozniacki couldn’t be happier! She and NBA player David Lee began dating in 2016, and announced their engagement during a 2017 trip to Bora Bora. While some brides-to-be prefer to keep details about their jewelry private, The Knot shared all the details about the Danish tennis star’s most prized possession. Caroline Wozniacki’s engagement ring is an absolute masterpiece crafted by private jeweler Joey Hamra. The central diamond is an 8.88 carat oval-shaped stone that celebrates the couple’s love as well as Caroline’s affection for the number 8. Pave diamonds grace the band, providing a flawless presentation that’s almost as lovely are Caroline herself.

Karolina Pliskova

Karolina Pliskova surprised fans by announcing her engagement to long-time beau, TV personality Michal Hrdlicka. The Czechoslovakian couple made their plans public following 2017’s Wimbledon tournament. While we don’t know much about the engagement ring, which is both beautiful and delicate, we do know that Pliskova’s world-class reputation extends to her life off the court. The tennis star frequently makes generous donations to Prague’s Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Department at Motol University Hospital.
