Sarah M is a freelance writer in San Diego, CA. She is a single mother to a son and a daughter. Sarah got her start in freelance writing with articles primarily focused on nutrition, finance and real estate and has spent almost ten years in the real estate industry. At age 31, Sarah underwent a preventative double mastectomy due to carrying the deleterious BRCA2 gene mutation, which caused a very high risk of breast and ovarian cancer. While recovering from a series of reconstruction surgeries, Sarah went through a divorce. This prompted her to begin writing more of her own story and to become more vulnerable and open about fears, failures, struggles and success. Sarah enjoys writing about body image issues, self love, self care, happiness, dating and friendship. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys weight lifting, dancing, traveling and eating cakes. She hopes to travel to New York, Thailand, Japan and India in the not so distant future. Also, when she's not writing on Worthy, swear words are her love language.
