Does looking at beautiful jewelry ever get old? Not for us! The glitz and glamour of September’s auction pieces had us wide-eyed, but even better were the prices they sold for! Let’s take a look through some of our favorites.

Yellow Diamonds

There is something very “high society” about yellow diamonds. Maybe it’s their association with the Tiffany Yellow Diamond, Audrey Hepburn, and old-world glamour. This month we saw an exquisite halo ring with yellow diamonds as well as a yellow and white diamond tennis bracelet, both sold for over $7K. 

• 2.33 CT Radiant-Cut Yellow Diamond Halo Ring. Sold for $7,999. 
• Emerald Cut Eternity Band Ring. Sold for $7,002.
• Radiant Cut Fancy Yellow & White Diamond Tennis Bracelet. Sold for $7,191.

Big Brand, Big Diamonds, Big Deals

We also saw two big auctions for branded jewelry, including a round-cut halo necklace from Tiffany & Co. and a Breitling Navitimer. Two additional items we auctioned this month were heavy on the carat weight: a 5 CT blue Sri Lankan sapphire and 1.5 CT diamond stud earrings. But the biggest item by far was the 5 carat Oval-cut 3 stone ring. While a ring like this might be child’s play for someone like Elizabeth Taylor, we were certainly diamond struck.

• Breitling Navitimer. Sold for $4,500.
• 5.09 CT Oval-Cut Blue Sapphire 3 Stone Ring Heart-Cut diamonds. Sold for $8,000.
• GIA 1.54 CT Round-Cut and 1.51 CT Round-Cut diamond stud earrings. Sold for $6,370.

• 1.53 ct. Cushion Modified Cut Solitaire Ring, E, VS2. Sold for $4,162. 
• Watch Piaget 617934 16135M414D 620P. Sold for $6,000.
• 5.11 ct. Oval Cut 3 Stone Ring, D, SI1. Sold for $75,000.
