Do you find yourself in need of a pretty distraction? We’re with you! So let’s take a break from social distancing and WFH for a moment to have a look at some of the spectacular designer items we sold last month – virtual window shopping if you will.
Nothing says luxury like “Italian” and if you add that to gold and diamond jewelry, you’ve got a winner. We felt that same about the Marco Bicego necklace and bracelet set (2 and 3 below) made of 18K gold and round-cut diamonds. A set like this makes your look instantly elegant, but if you have a “less is more” attitude about jewelry, you may want to consider selling those pieces that are definitely a bit on the “more” side.
And if you were looking for glamour, there are three sparkling pieces from the French company Van Cleef & Arpels. The brand’s Alhambra collection has been a favorite since its debut in 1968 and the bracelet and earrings below (5 and 6) are fine examples of the collection’s use of diamonds and blue Sèvres porcelain. And while these are very fine items to have in your jewelry box, keep in mind that the resale price of designer jewelry can be very high so if you find yourself in need of an emergency fund, selling is certainly something worth a thought.
Finally, we would be remiss if we didn’t mention the stunning Tiffany & Co. emerald-cut engagement ring that reminds us of a certain ring fit for a IRL princess, Grace Kelly. It’s the perfect kind of glitzy, sparkly distraction we need in this current moment of uncertainty.
If you’re thinking about selling fine jewelry, now is a great time to do so. Not only can the whole process be done without leaving your home but it could give those finances a real boost as we head further into a recession.
